Friendship in Your Life

Do you remember the days when you were a kid? There was someone with whom you used to be very happy. He or she might be your mother, brother, sister or anyone else. Do you know what they are called? They are called friends.

There is a saying that “a friend in need is a friend indeed”, however, the simple definition of a friend is anyone with whom you feel comfortable with, feel relieved and share your thoughts freely with.
Friends are those with whom you love spending time, whether the time is good or bad. Having friends in your life is like a journey. This journey starts right after we get born. In this early phase of our life, the family members who take care of us are our friends, like our parents, grandparents, uncle, aunt, etc.

When we grow little older, we get to meet more and new people, especially of our age groups. Then we get close to them, we get fond of each other. We play, see TV, and most importantly, enjoy with each other.

Then, we grow up to the age of going to school. In school, we make a number of friends having different personalities. With these friends, we study, learn new things through and with each other. In this phase of our life, we have fights with our friends and then have to get that fight off as we know we can’t stay away from each other for very long. These are the things we experience these stuff for the first time in our life.

Then, we grow up to become teenagers. In this phase of our life, we get into friendship even more. Then, likewise, we move to college. In this phase of our life, our friends help us with every small and big stuff, whether it is about exams or getting into fights or proposing anyone.

There is also another type of friendship in which we have friends who are more than just friends. Yes, I am talking about the “boyfriend” or “girlfriend” type of friend. This friendship includes buying gifts for each other, having fights with each other, getting angry with each other and the other stuff. For some people, this type of friendship goes on for a lifetime and for some, it continues for a limited time.

Then, we step into the professional world. Here, we get to know more people, but we have to choose whom to be friends with and whom to not be with. These friends may be our boss, co-workers, juniors, etc. With these types of friends, we discuss our professional work, ongoing life, future plans, etc. The professional friendship is very much important in our professional life as it helps in making a good environment for working.

As we move forward in our life, we get to know many people, but it is always our choice, with whom we will like to be friends with and continue this great journey of friendship.

I will like to add one more thing. A real friend is not someone who fulfills your demand, a real friend is someone who tries to make you feel better, make you choose the right path and have a good explanation about it. The more real friends you will have in your life, the more lovely this journey of friendship will be of yours.
